Walser Whisky launch

In keeping with the Walser tradition of the two cantons, we are delighted to launch Walser Whisky, our third premium Swiss whisky. The name pays homage to the Walser people, who ventured from the Upper Valais over the Alpine passes into the surrounding high valleys in the 12th century.

Paul Schnidrig, President of the International Association for Walsertum, acted as godfather to our latest whisky. Made from Graubünden barley and Valais rye, brewed in the Engadin and distilled in Valais, and matured in both cantons – Walser Whisky could not be a better symbol of the cooperation between Valais and Graubünden.

Philipp Matthias Bregy, Valais National Council member and president of the Center Party, was delighted that the whisky can now be tasted after seven years of maturation.

New on board

We are delighted to welcome a proven whisky expert and marketing specialist to the team. Claudia Järmann is a graduate of the Springbank Whisky School 2022 and the Islay Whisky Academy 2023. ‘My passion is not just for the Scottish water of life. I am also particularly interested in young distilleries around the world and in their country-specific production,’ says Claudia, who will be responsible for marketing our whiskies from now on.

Two mountain cantons, one new Swiss whisky: The Bernina Whisky

After more than four years of storage in the Engadine and the mild climate of the Valais, the BerninaWhisky can finally be tasted. Prominent representatives from the Grisons, the Valais and the rest of Switzerland travelled to the Bernina Pass on Saturday evening for the official christening. Federal Councillor Ueli Maurer opened the tasting with a toast to the mountain regions.
